Sometimes when I'm watching a movie, I wonder how those people can portray the character in such a way that you believe in the lie to the extent that the actor can be hated for embodying the character so perfectly or even loved. In one way or another, we all are actors starring in our own films where we script what we want to see; we pretend; we change just like the seasons do. But who can blame you? We all want to give the world what it wants, to a point; we get lost in all the rules, the dos and don’ts.
Recently, in a conversation with one of my friends, he
described personality to me as a mask with so many layers that we keep shading
in different environments. This got me thinking about how many layers I have and how many people would be confused if they were told to describe me. Will
there be so much contradicting information that people think they are talking
about different people?
Should
people have the same perception of you, or can they have different opinions?
I wonder how many people have had the masks on for so long that
they have forgotten how to be themselves.
How many times have you sold a lie to your audience and ended up
believing it yourself?
We all want perfect everything, and we end up destroying ourselves
when chasing perfection.
